The Wilk XC-8 (Wolf XC-8) is a tier 10 Tank Destroyer‏‎ originating from Poland, and is sold by Zhang Feng. The Wilk XC-8 is the first Polish vehicle of Armored Warfare named after the ferocious pack animal, second being its lvl 8 sibling the WWO Wilk, using the same potent and mobile Rosomak platform in this iteration with 120mm IFV turret. It can be unlocked with a tier 10 Unlock Token, and is the end of the Multi-Purpose Vehicles line.

Features[edit | edit source]

  • High spot and rof: had high spotting ranges and rate of fire.
  • High caliber: the high caliber weaponry deals an increased damage.
  • PELE: good penetration potential and can deal major damage to crew and internal modules.

Player recommendations[edit | edit source]

With heavy rapid firepower, the Wilk XC-8 is a powerful mobile tank destroyer capable of picking apart targets from range with its excellent penetration and accuracy. When played correctly, it can force back enemies and quickly relocate to stay in the battle. The firepower and mobility come with a cost: the composite armor is still thin enough that all but the lightest of AP firing auto-cannons can penetrate. Against HEAT though, its side protection is excellent for its weight, but should not be tested too much. It relies on mobility and camouflage, not health pool, to survive.

Pros and cons[edit | edit source]

Pros[edit | edit source]

  • Good mobility
  • Excellent firepower
  • High camo rating
  • PELE rounds capable of disabling an enemy with a single shot (especially turret rings), thus not totally defenseless in a brawl.
  • Very fast reload for a single shot cannon
  • APS can shoot down both missiles and shells
  • Good depression

Cons[edit | edit source]

  • Large silhouette
  • Negligible armor
  • Bad acceleration
  • Very long and heavy, thus may be hard to fit properly in cover. Wheels make it impossible to turn in place. You gotta park it like a limo.

Upgrade suggestions[edit | edit source]

The Wilk XC-8 focuses on mobility and firepower over protection. Therefore, upgrading its strengths even more should be a priority. The Wilk has a variety of upgrades to its firepower, including better ammunition and an Improved Auto-loader, which should be researched early. Researching the Scania DC 13 Diesel Engine should also be a priority, as the upgrade to mobility will offer increased survivability through avoiding trouble.

Retrofit suggestions[edit | edit source]

  • Improved Gun Breech
  • Advanced Muzzle Reference System
  • Electro-Optical Absorbing Paint
  • Augmented Optics

Commander and crew skill suggestions[edit | edit source]

  • Commander: Sabrina Washington, for improvements to camo rating, view range, and accuracy
  • Driver: Smooth Ride, Off-Road Driving
  • Gunner: Quick Draw, Sharpshooter

History[edit | edit source]

The Wilk XC-8 is a variant on the Wilk Polish fire support vehicle armed with a 120mm gun within the Cockerill CT-CV turret, which is both lightweight and capable of being outfitted with improved armor packages offering protection against armor piercing rounds. Based on the CT-CV 105HP, the XC-8 was first publicly demonstrated in 2014 but has not yet entered service.
