The SPHINX is a tier 10 Armored Fighting Vehicle originating from France, and is sold by Sophie Wölfli. It can be unlocked with a tier 10 Unlock Token, and is the end of the Fire Support Vehicles line.

Features

  • Subtle movement: moving on a low speed doesn't reduce your camouflage factor.
  • Designated target: vehicle has the ability to designate targets that are within line of sight and vision range. Designated targets are called out and takes increased damage.
  • Recon package: this vehicle's recon package provides an improved vision range when stationary.

Player Recommendations

With a powerful 40mm autocannon and dual ATGM launchers, the SPHINX is a mobile sniper capable of doing heavy damage to unsuspecting targets and relocating to avoid counterattacks. With little to no effective armor against large caliber tank shells, the SPHINX relies on its camo rating and mobility to survive against its opponents.

  • Needs a lot of practice to get used to the control on sharp turns. Can get bouncy and easily trip.

History

The Secret Project for High intensity and New Conflicts, also known as the SPHINX, is a French-built armored fighting vehicle that was first unveiled in 2010. Intended as a replacement for the AMX-10RC and ERC-90 Sagaie, this 6x6 vehicle specializes in reconnaissance.  It is diminutive in size but well-armored.
