The M60-2000 is a tier 7 Main Battle Tank originating from the United States. It is a Premium Vehicle sold as part of one of the new Collector's Editions. This is a special event premium vehicle that can only be purchased during special sales events.

As of early 2018, the Neon variant of the M60-2000 was introduced to the game and is currently available for gold or currency in the web shop.

Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]

This vehicle is best played as a hull down support vehicle taking cover behind a rock, wreck, hill, or other position where only its well armored turret is exposed to incoming fire. Failing that, it can be a second line MBT capitalizing on firepower and agility, the latter to avoid incoming fire with the help of smoke grenades. The hull is weak and vulnerable, and any hits are best taken on the turret.

Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]

Pros[edit | edit source]

  • Premium vehicle, so additional credit and reputation generation.
  • Tier 8 armor on the turret, along with great gun depression
  • Has better AP ammo than an upgraded M1A2, giving it outstanding firepower at tier 7
  • Agile and nimble for an MBT
  • Compared to the Sabra Mk. 2, it has better camo, higher DPM, better traverse speeds, and a higher top speed.

Cons[edit | edit source]

  • Weak hull armor for its tier. Even lower tiered vehicles might frontally penetrate it.
  • In comparison, the Sabra Mk. 2 has better penetration, accuracy, acceleration, view range, and has ERA.
  • Only available in the Collector's Edition bundles

Utilizing the M1A1 turret along with an M60A3 hull, the M60-2000 is a more economical choice in mobility, while still retaining a technologically modern and well-armored turret.

History[edit | edit source]

Having proven itself reliable over a course of more than four decades, the M60 Patton remains in service to this day, despite being superseded by the M1 Abrams in the United States Army. The M60-2000 main battle tank was developed as a reasonably priced export for countries with M60s still in operation that could not afford more modern MBTs. This variant features many of the upgrades found on the M1A1, including a new gun turret and 120mm smoothbore gun.
