Features[edit | edit source]
- Invisible movement: motion does not reduce camouflage factor.
- Designated target: vehicle has the ability to designate targets that are within line of sight and vision range. Designated targets are called out and takes increased damage.
- Magazine loader: allows you to fire several rounds without reloading.
Player recommendations[edit | edit source]
Featuring a powerful eleven round clip and strong acceleration and mobility, the M41 is the first example of a fast, mobile, and powerful light tank in Armored Warfare. The downsides to this vehicle include its armor, which is just about nonexistent, and its long reload in between magazines. This vehicle is best played as a quick and dirty brawler, focusing on overwhelming firepower in a short amount of time.
Pros and cons[edit | edit source]
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Good mobility
- Excellent gun depression
- High burst damage
- Access to HEAT makes it a very good flanker
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Negligible armor
- High clip reload
Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]
Upgrading the firepower through the improved rangefinder and improved ammunition makes the large burst capability of the M41 even more devastating. Another upgrade which should be considered early on is the AOS-895-5 Petrol Engine, which heavily improves top speed and acceleration.
Retrofit suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Electro-Optical Absorbing Paint
- Advanced Fire Control
- Improved Telescopic Lens
- Improved Gun Breech
Commander and crew skill suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Commander: Sabrina Washington, for vision range, camo, and accuracy improvements
- Driver: Smooth Ride, Off-Road Driving
- Gunner: Quick Draw, Sharpshooter
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Explosive Shells/Preparation

History[edit | edit source]
Class: Light Tank
Developed: 1949
Service: 1951+
Vehicles Built: 5467
Operators: USA, South Vietnam, Taiwan, Japan, Brazil and more than two dozen other countries
Designed by Cadillac in the United States of America, the M41 was built to replace the M24 Chaffee WW2-era Light Tank, which had proven to be obsolete during the Korean War. The role of Light Tanks in the U.S. Army was both to scout and support with fire, but as more modern Soviet tanks started to appear, it was rather clear that the age of Light Tanks was over (at least for a while). The M41 Walker Bulldog (named after General Walton Walker, who had died in 1950 in a car accident) stayed in service from 1951 through the late 1960s with the US Army before the need to replace it with something carrying superior firepower arose, resulting in the adoption of M551 Sheridan. The tank was, however, rugged and reliable with many other countries continuing to use modified versions of the vehicle even to this day. The M41 saw combat during the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Vietnam War.
