The M1A2 Abrams is a tier 8 Main Battle Tank originating from the United States, and is sold by Sophie Wölfli. It can be unlocked from the M1A1 Abrams, unlocks a tier 9 Unlock Token, which can be used on the CRAB, B1 Draco, B1 Centauro 120, Leopard 2A6, or M1A2C Abrams and leads to the M1 TTB.

Features[edit | edit source]

  • Heavy armor : this vehicle's armor bounces more shots and takes more hits
  • High caliber: the high caliber weaponry deals an increased damage
  • Gas Turbine : provide a smoother acceleration, compared to an ordinary diesel

Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]

Continuing the legacy of the M1 Abrams, the M1A2 is a modernized variant featuring increased firepower and protection. While not as mobile as the M1 Abrams, it compensates with much more effective protection against HEAT ammunition, and a more powerful gun. A jack of all trades, the M1A2's excellent combination of firepower, mobility, and protection makes it a very capable flanker and brawler.

Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]

Pros[edit | edit source]

  • Excellent gun depression
  • Excellent frontal armor with the armor upgrade can even withstand Tier 10 ATGM fire
  • ERA protection against HEAT

Cons[edit | edit source]

  • Poor stock DPM
  • Soft kill APS is somewhat useless, because higher tier ATGMs can't be easily blocked.

Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]

Like the M1A1, the M1A2 Abrams has a significant number of armor upgrades which should be researched early to improve protection. Unlocking the Soft Kill APS improves protection against the significant threat of ATGM fire.  Upgrades to the firepower slightly improve gun capability, but unless a player is finding stock firepower to be insufficient, it should be researched later.

Retrofit Suggestions[edit | edit source]

  • Advanced Muzzle Reference System
  • Augmented Optics
  • Improved Gun Breech
  • Improved Pioneer Tool Kit

Commander and Crew Skill Suggestions[edit | edit source]

  • Commander: Juan Carlos, to improve the aim speed and crew stats
  • Driver: Spin to Win, Off-Road Driving
  • Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist
  • Loader: Rapid Fire, Explosive Shells/Preparation
