The M1A1 AIM is a tier 8 Premium Main Battle Tank. Built and designed in the United States, this Abrams variant is a sturdy choice for those looking for an all-rounder vehicle.

The M1A1 AIM has only been available in the web shop during special events or holidays, particularly United States holidays such as Veteran's Day or the 4th of July which is the date of American Independence. The vehicle also comes with a special camo scheme that prominently displays the year of 1776, a skull decal with appropriate era hat, and the stripes of the US flag.

Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]

The M1A1 AIM handles and plays like any other Abrams would: a jack of all trades, master of none. Playstyle is situationally dependent.  It can lead a charge if top tier, but care must be taken, since the armor has the thickness of a regular tier 7 M1A1. The ammo of the AIM is also subpar for its tier, so sniping accuracy is important, as well as focusing on a more flanking or supporting role. The AIM’s base view range is higher than its progression tier 7 and tier 8 counterparts, so stacking view range to assist in spotting is also quite doable. Overall, the AIM’s largest weaknesses are its armor or ammo values, but it is still a solid Abrams type MBT.

History[edit | edit source]

After the XM1 contract had been won, the next step in the vehicle's development involved producing the FSED (Full Scale Engineering Development). The M1A1 AIM was an improvement on the American main battle tank's previous design, but did not incorporate many external elements, improving instead on minor details like armored sideskirts and an improved FCS.
