Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
A powerfully armed, highly mobile vehicle, the M1134 is an sniper capable of dealing powerful punches from long range with its double ATGM launchers. Adverrized as top down its is not a real top down missile that flies along balistic arc such as the Javelin of Leclerc T-40, but an missile that flies towards the target, to then few meters from the target ascend and explode above the roof of the enemy vehicle. Downside of such system is reduced damage as the missile does not directly hit the target. It also has the mobility to rapidly evacuate the battle and relocate between salvos. This comes at the price of its protection, which against main gun rounds from MBTs and LTs stands no chance, forcing the M1134 to rely on its speed and camo rating to survive. Its main downsides are its very large profile, making concealement challenging and very long reload of only two shot magazine.

History[edit | edit source]
Class: Tank Destroyer
Developed: 1999-2002
Service: 2005+
Vehicles Built: 133
Operators: USA
The Stryker platform is named after two separate Medal of Honor recipients, one from the Second World War and one from the Vietnam War. The Stryker platform was based on the MOWAG Piranha III design and was developed specifically to meet the needs of the U.S. Army. The M1134 is an advanced missile Tank Destroyer based on the Stryker chassis, used in the U.S. Army Stryker Brigade Combat Teams to enhance the unit’s firepower against enemy armor. While only lightly protected, its main strength light in the advanced model of the BGM-71 TOW missile launcher, allowing it to knock out practically every armored target it encounters on the battlefield.
The Stryker has been (ironically, much like the Sheridan) plagued by controversies and various issues. The Stryker is too light for counter-insurgency operations, offers little protection from mines and RPGs, it's also generally cramped, unstable (due to being too tall) and prone to overheating. With the War on Terror over, the U.S. Army is currently reorganizing itself for more conventional warfare and Stryker Brigade Combat Teams are gradually being phased out.
