Features[edit | edit source]
- Marksman: able to inflict high damage to armor at relatively longer distances than other vehicles.
- HESH: can potantially penetrate armor with higher hit angles.
- Ready Rack: allows you to fire several rounds in succession from a ready rack. Rack reloads whilst out of combat.
- Amphibious: this vehicle is resistant to water and able to traverse wider rivers or lakes.
Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
Lightly armored and mobile, the LAV-600 features a powerful rapid-firing 105 mm main cannon with a four shot ready rack system, allowing it to apply massive burst firepower to an enemy vehicle and then quickly relocate while reloading. Best played as a long-range sniper, the LAV-600 is vulnerable to being caught on the reload. If it does, it must use its mobility to rapidly disengage, as it has zero effective armor against enemy firepower.
Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Excellent accuracy
- High mobility
- High camo rating
- Powerful burst damage
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Negligible armor
- Large target
- Long reload on entire ready rack
Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]
As a platform designed around firepower and mobility, the upgrades researched should reflect this. Upgrading to the Improved Gunner Sight, Improved Storage, and various ammunition upgrades will offer a much more varied arsenal, and upgrading to the Cummins QSC 8.3 Diesel Engine will boost the already stellar mobility.
Retrofit Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Advanced Fire Control
- Advanced Muzzle Reference System
- Improved Gun Breech
Commander and Crew Skill Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Commander: Viktor Kirsanov, for rate of fire and aim speed
- Driver: Smooth Ride, Off Road Driving
- Gunner: Quick Draw, Sharpshooter
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Preparation/Explosive Shells

An overall up-armored version of the LAV-300, the LAV-600 uses the turret of the Stingray 2, giving it significantly increased frontal protection and allowing it better offense against MBT vehicles. The rest of the vehicle sports an up-armored base of Cadaloy steel to provide resistance against many autocannons. |

History[edit | edit source]
Class: Fire Support Vehicle
Developed: 1985-1986
Service: 1994+
Vehicles Built: cca 20 (incl. prototypes)
Operators: Philippines
The LAV-600 was the ultimate evolution of the Commando series and a heavily upgraded version of the LAV-300. Offered since 1985, it was designed specifically with fire support in mind since it was fitted with the same turret as the Stingray Light Tank, another product by Cadillac Gage. This turret carried a 105mm rifled cannon, making the LAV-600 a force to be reckoned with, since, by the time it was introduced, it could knock out all older Soviet MBTs, so often found in various pro-Soviet third world countries. In addition to this capability, the LAV-600 was accurate, cheap, light and air-transportable. Despite these qualities, Cadillac Gage managed to secure only one small contract for Philippines in 1993-1994. An attempt was made to offer this vehicle to the U.S. Army, but Cadillac Gage lost to the M1128 Stryker. The vehicle was removed from all offers in 2000.
