The Griffin 50mm is a tier 8 Armored Fighting Vehicle originating from the United States, and is sold by Oscar Faraday. It can be unlocked from the Leclerc Prototype, and leads to M113 Hellfire.

Features[edit | edit source]

  • Subtle movement: moving on a low speed doesn't reduce your camouflage factor.
  • Auto Cannon Only : vehicle is armed with an auto cannon only
  • Recoil Stabilizer : allows you to shoot several projectile in one spot. Each successive hit has an increased penetration rate.
  • Active Camo : provides the same camo as foliage when the vehicle is stationary.
  • Uninhabited Module : the uninhabited turret (battle module) receives reduced damage.
  • Troop Compartment : allows you to repair modules and capture points faster.

Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]

One of the kings of PvE, the Griffin 50mm sports excellent spotting, camo, and DPM owing to its signature 50mm Supershot rounds. Each burst from its cannon is extremely accurate and will generally hurt even the heaviest targets provided you aim it properly. Because it also sports a Troop Compartment, the option to carry a compliment of mechanized AT Troops, a Mortar, or Striker (Sniper) exists, entirely depending on preferences. While it sports poor armor values (anything and anyone can penetrate your hull at just about any angle), its camouflage capabilities are second to none with the addition of the Tacticam Camouflage System, basically allowing you to drive around with foliage stapled on your hull. Keep concealed and find a right place to fire, and generally nothing short of an extremely aggressive Ramka-99, Terminator 2, or Armata T-15 player will outdo you in DPM.

Pros[edit | edit source]

  • Powerful rapid fire 50mm cannon, the damage dealt per minute basically feels like cheating.
  • Extremely accurate bursts with little to no accuracy degradation from prolonged fire.
  • Extremely accurate even on the move thanks to its Gyroscopic Sight Upgrade.
  • Unless you can't aim, enemy vehicle modules can be easily damaged and disabled.
  • High camouflage factor means you will rarely get detected and therefore shot at (hide behind bushes and trees!).
  • Troop Compartment enables a compliment of AT Infantry for additional firepower and even more points.
  • Insane spotting capabilities means you'll see the enemy before they can see you.
  • Capable of slaying most things in PvE before they get within spotting range.
  • Unmanned Turret means next to no damage if the enemy can only shoot at your turret.
  • Hardkill APS helps give some leeway against encroaching AFVs.
  • Seriously this thing is overpowered as hell in PvE.

Cons[edit | edit source]

  • Poor hull armor, anything besides basic machine gun fire can hurt it.
  • No choice in weapons or ammunition, you have the one cannon and the 50mm Supershot (and insane DPM).
  • Maneuverability and speed is average at best.

Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]

Survivability in the Griffin 50mm is equivalent to the level of camo it retains in a fight. Therefore the first upgrade to prioritize is the Tacticam Camouflage System before working on utility such as Hardkill APS and Improved Thermal Imager. If firepower is favored, Improved Gunner Sight is an excellent upgrade to get first after the Camouflage System.

This infantry fighting vehicle technology demonstrator is based on a Griffin hull and was designed to show the multi-rola and multi-environment potential of the chassis, featuring such cutting edge components as an AI assisting the human gunner.
