Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
Lightly armored and mobile, the Dragoon 90 offers excellent firepower on a fast chassis. With excellent gun depression, reload, and accuracy, the Dragoon can fight at long range and punish unsuspecting targets with a fusillade of rapid, accurate fire. As one of the most mobile vehicles in the game, it can easily relocate between positions. But this mobility comes at the cost of protection, with the Dragoon having virtually zero effective armor against incoming fire.
Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Excellent rate of fire
- Excellent accuracy
- High mobility
- High camo rating
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Negligible armor
Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]
As a platform designed around firepower and mobility, the upgrades researched should reflect this. Upgrading to the Improved Fire Control System and various ammunition upgrades will offer a much more varied arsenal, and upgrading to the Improved Suspension will boost the already stellar mobility.
Retrofit Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Advanced Fire Control
- Advanced Muzzle Reference System
- Improved Gun Breech
Commander and Crew Skill Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Commander: Viktor Kirsanov, for rate of fire and aim speed
- Driver: Smooth Ride, Off Road Driving
- Gunner: Quick Draw, Sharpshooter
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Preparation/Explosive Shells

Constructed entirely out of high hardness steel, the Dragoon operates as a support vehicle. Weak against AFV and tank weaponry, it offers protection against small arms and artillery shell fragments. |

History[edit | edit source]
Class: Fire Support Vehicle
Developed: 1976-1978
Service: 1983+
Vehicles Built: cca 400
Operators: U.S. Navy, Venezuela, Tunisia, Thailand, Pakistan, Cameroon, Turkey
The Dragoon is one of those unremarkable vehicles that pass through the history of armored warfare almost unnoticed. It was developed by an American company called Verne in the 1970s for a United States Army Military Police Corps program, which would then be canceled. Fortunately, Verne managed to convince the U.S. Navy to adopt a few pieces of this platform in 1983 and it just all went from there. Resembling Cadillac-Gage's V-150 Commando, the Dragoon platform was offered until as late as 2008 in various configurations, including a fire support one with a Cockerill turret and a 90mm gun. The Dragoon was widely exported and remains in service to this day in some parts of the world.
