History[edit | edit source]
This Soviet-designed infantry fighting vehicle was created to remedy design issues with the BMP-1. Equipped with a 30mm automatic cannon and an anti-tank guided missile system, the BMP-2 offers greater accuracy over its predecessor. The vehicle is still in production, boasting a long service history in Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, and Western Asia.
