  • High spot and rof: had high spotting ranges and rate of fire.
  • Smoke generators : generate a smoke screen around the vehicle.
  • Waterproof: this vehicle can remain longer under water.

Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]

With a monstrous rate of fire and high damage, The Zhalo is a devastating tank destroyer and one of the most powerful T4s. The quick reload, excellent accuracy, and good mobility of the Zhalo make it a powerful choice for a low tier premium. As a tank destroyer though, its armor is completely negligible, so it relies on its high camo rating to survive.

The 2S14 Zhalo-S ("Stinger-S") is an experimental light, highly mobile, Soviet self-propelled gun from the 1980s, although its history goes much deeper than that. As early as the 1970s, the Soviets started working on a new generation of anti-tank guns, including some very light 85mm models of the Zhalo program. These would be suitable for light Tank Destroyers (although a towed version was developed as well) and achieved their killing power not by caliber, but by high muzzle velocity.

The first prototype of a 85mm self-propelled gun based on the BTR-70 wheeled chassis was ready in 1975 and was sent to the Kubinka proving grounds for extensive testing. Despite its unusually low caliber, the gun was very capable of defeating older vehicles, but it lacked the penetration of 125mm guns and was therefore useless against modern MBTs, a fact that ultimately doomed the project. The surviving prototype is currently located in the Kubinka Tank Museum.
